Emmy Steiner has unfortunately had to cancel her performance of "Badger" on Sunday, July 14, 2024, due to health reasons. We are delighted to have found a wonderful replacement:

A concert for guitar and various figures // an exhibition of imaginative animal sculptures // a puppet show with humorous acting.

For young audiences aged 4 and over

Duration: approx. 45 minutes

There must be a misunderstanding! An artist and a guitarist each want the stage to themselves to present their works, definitely not together! A guitar concert and abstract art—how can those two possibly fit together? But then something wonderful happens: Little by little, the colorful wooden elements come to life, transforming into fantastic jungle animals ready to throw a ball, accompanied, of course, by the most beautiful guitar music! Only the snooty flamingos with the white legs are still looking for particularly beautiful and eye-catching socks...

Fabricio Ferrari and Ignacio Giovanetti are from Uruguay and have both lived in Vienna for more than 15 years. They retell the fable "The Flamingos' Stockings" by the Uruguayan-Argentine writer Horacio Quiroga with humor and imagination, creating a dialogue between music, object, and movement. The music—Giovanetti's interpretations of dances from Spain and Latin America—evolves from the scenes and moods, while the images and scenes emerge along with the music. The audience also participates in the creation of a shared performance.
